I'm thinking about doing another Scandinavia And the World -fan comic, but I'm still not sure. I have a good idea (that is my own, this time), and I could not do it with my own characters and I'm not gonna make my own SATW/Hetalia -type characters. No thanks. What do you think, should I give it a go?

Ugh! Go away stupid fly, you are disturbing me!!
Uh, sorry about that.
Ahem.
I want to babble little bit about fan fictions and fan comics.
As usual, there are good and bad fan works.
Do you know where I draw the line?
I think that good fan works respect the original story and characters. Even if you didn't like the original ending and do an ending of your own, you don't change the characters. Of course, all characters (are supposed to!) grow during the story, but you write decisions that the original author would have made them make, you draw them communicate with other characters like the original artist would have made them.
In bad fan works, you tear everything apart.
Nothing makes sense anymore. The cool mysterious guy suddenly turns out to be gay, and confesses his love to a man twice as old as he is. Characters' natures turn completely upside down, because everything happens too quickly. The story is too short for these changes, it goes all by the one who is making the fic.
Can you tell the difference?
Think about your own characters. You just don't make them do what you want. They sort of live their own lives, and you just tell others what's happening.
If your characters are not alive, you are not trying hard enough. I always try to make some kind of character but he/she always turns out to be someone else.
You know, just like having a child.
I don't really like pairings, especially boy x boy -pairings, because they are mostly just someone's fantasies. I can't understand Remus x Sirius -pairings or SasuNaru or NaruGaara -pairings. I more like think of them as really good brothers.
Don't get me wrong, even I have some fav pairings, but usually they go by the original plot: Hermione x Ron, Bella x Edward (Yes, I love the first Twiligh book, but I hope SM didn't wrote any other parts and that no movies were made), IchiHime and one that doesn't go by the plot, NejiHina.
And I so wish that Snape could have somehow made it out with Lily. Not as lovers, but good friends.
So when writing fics or drawing fan comics, please think about the characters and if they really reacted the way you want them to. And if they do, please explain to the rest of us why they did so.

Student life fer me
It's been what, 10 months since I last wrote a journal on this account. Hups. This entry has quite a same theme as the last one: I got to school again! (Orivesi college lasted only a year - that was the best year of my life this far.) Now I'll be studying graphic designing at Metropolia. Three of my classmates got there too (all of us who managed to finished their long comics, I see a pattern here), it's a relief. We are now hunting for flats, wish us luck!
I have actually drawn some comics, I have just made them in Finnish or I have been too lazy to submit them here... sorry. Gotta fix that.
Um, brief reminder, I have another accou
Someone studies comic drawing....
And that person is me!
For the next year, I'll be studying at Orivesi College of Arts. I've been there for 3 weeks now, and it has been wonderful! I'll of course submit some stuff here or to my main account ShirianekiZ (https://www.deviantart.com/shirianekiz), but I have created a blog where I will post stuff DAILY. It's in Finnish, but you're welcome to have a look, anyway!

Do you prefer the character or actor?
I am a huge Johnny Depp fan, and I have a friend who can't stand him, but loves Jack Sparrow.
Is it the character or the man/woman behind it that is hot to you?
About submitting
Which do you prefer? Submitting as many pages as I have ready whenever I turn the computer on, or submitting one page a day/week?
I'm asking, because I'm working on a small manga novel, about 20-30 pages, and I have ideas for others too. I'm also working on a bigger project, but that's another thing.
